Oveporexton (; developmental code name TAK-861) is an orexin receptor agonist which is under development for the treatment of narcolepsy and idiopathic hypersomnia. It is taken by mouth. The drug is a selective orexin OX2 receptor agonist. It has wakefulness-promoting effects in monkeys and rodents. Oveporexton is being developed by Takeda. As of December 2024, it is in phase 3 clinical trials.
