Storefriendly Self Storage is an Asia-Pacific-based company operating over 130 branches in Asia with a total of 40,000+ self storage units around Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Singapore and Shanghai. History. Storefriendly was started by Kevin Chan in 2002 with its fully self-owned storage facility, "Storefriendly Centre", in Singapore. Johansen and Chan started the Singapore expansion in 2011 with the first branch in Bukit Batok. SingPost acquired the company in 2015. Storefriendly subsequently relaunched in 2019 with its flagship branch in Paya Lebar. In 2021, the company opened the Storefriendly Tower in Kwun Tong, Hong Kong. This was a self owned facility and notably included robotic storage, AI-powered facilities among other digital focused technologies. The company launched the film "Make Space for the Future" with an AI-generated music track. The company is a member of the Self Storage Association Asia (SSAA). Awards.
