Alan Richard Crowe (September 1939 - 17 June 2012) was an Ulster Unionist Party (UUP) politician who served as High Sheriff of Belfast from January 2001 to 2002, and a Belfast City Councillor for the Victoria DEA from 1997 until 2005. Background. Crowe was first elected onto Belfast City Council in 1997, representing the Victoria District, as an Independent Unionist. In January 2001, Crowe was made High Sheriff of Belfast. By this time, he had joined the Ulster Unionist Party (UUP), and was subsequently re-elected at the June 2001 local elections. He was defeated at the 2005 local elections.
