The Monthly Pay Order (MPO) is a government salary subvention program in Bangladesh, through which the Government of Bangladesh provides monthly salary to teachers and staff of approved non-government educational institutions. The system is overseen by the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) under the authority of the Ministry of Education.
MPO covers only the basic portion of Bangladesh's national pay scale. Additional benefits such as allowances, bonuses, pensions, or retirement contributions are depends on the availability of government budget allocations.
