Eyjólfur Guðmundsson is an Icelandic economist and academic administrator. He served as the rector of the University of Akureyri from 2014 to 2024.
Education and career.
Guðmundsson received his Ph.D. in Environmental and Natural Resource Economics from the University of Rhode Island in 2002. He was hired by CCP Games to manage the virtual economy of their game, "EVE Online".
