Jeremy Konner is an American producer, writer and director known for his work on "Drunk History", "Waffles + Mochi" and "Another Period". He is the co-creator, director and showrunner of "Drunk History" and "Waffles + Mochi." Biography. Jeremy Konner was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He is the son of American screenwriters Lawrence Konner and Ronnie Wenker Konner. His sister, Jenni Konner is an American television writer, producer, and director best known as co-showrunner and writer of the HBO series, "Girls." He attended Crossroads School in Santa Monica, California. He graduated from Sarah Lawrence College in 2002. In 2008 Konner made the documentary "" which followed Jack Black and Kyle Gass' band Tenacious D as they toured across the world. In 2007 he teamed up with Derek Waters to make the web series "Drunk History""." They then developed it into a TV show and in 2013 "Drunk History" began airing on Comedy Central. It was produced by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay's Gary Sanchez Productions. The show ran for six seasons. Together with Maria Blasucci and Amanda Lund, Konner co-created the twelve episode series "Ghost Ghirls" produced by Jack Black's Electric Dynamite Productions. In 2015 Konner served as the director, writer, and executive producer on Comedy Central's "Another Period," produced by Ben Stiller's Red Hour Productions, created by Natasha Leggero and Riki Lindhome. The show premiered on Netflix in 2021 and stars Michelle Obama and is produced by Barack and Michelle Obama under their production company Higher Ground Productions.
