Lois McNay is a British academic and a professor of political theory at the University of Oxford. She is a Shirley Williams fellow and a tutor in politics at Somerville College. She is also currently the Vice-Principal of Somerville.
Academic interests.
Along with political and social theory, McNay also has an interest in feminist theory, and oftentimes has a particular focus on Michel Foucault, Pierre Bourdieau and the Frankfurt School. She has authored numerous books and articles and is well known for her work on social, political, critical, and gender theory.
