The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB), formally known as the Rajasthan Subordinate and Ministerial Services Selection Board (RSMSSB), is a board of the Rajasthan government. Its primary function is to recruit personnel for various subordinate and ministerial services within the government. Recruitment processes include written tests, professional tests, and interviews to ensure the selection of qualified candidates.The headquarters of board is located in Jaipur, Rajasthan. History. Earlier in the Rajasthan a combined competitive examination for direct recruitment to the Rajasthan Administrative Service and other State Services was held through the Rajasthan Public Service Commission, Ajmer and appointments were made based on the results. The RSSB was established by the Rajasthan State Government in 2014 for recruitment for various subordinate and ministerial services, including those with grade pay up to Rs 3600. The creation of the board was authorized by the Rajasthan Subordinate and Ministerial Services Selection Board Rules in 2014, which was based on the proviso to Article 309 of the Indian Constitution. The Rajasthan Subordinate and Ministerial Services Selection Board (RSMSSB) has changed its name to the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB). The change was officially announced on June 13, 2018.
