The First Nations Certainty of Land Title Act () is an act of the Parliament of Canada relating to allowing the transfer of property to "non-aboriginals".
History.
The act was developed in "partnership" with Squamish Nation, Fort McKay First Nation and Tsuu T'ina Nation, Carry the Kettle First Nation and Fort William First Nation.
Provisions.
The act amended the "First Nations Commercial and Industrial Development Act." The act removes "any discount reserve leaseholds bear".
Application.
The act enabled the development of Sen̓áḵw, Canada's largest Indigenous-led housing development.
