The six-part series is written and directed by Stefan Golaszewski and was announced as a BBC commission in November 2024.
It is produced by Snowed-In Productions and The Money Men Studios. The executive producers are Golaszewski, Ruth Kenley-Letts for Snowed-In Productions, Neil Blair and Richard Laxton, and Danielle Scott-Haughton for the BBC. The series producer is Lyndsay Robinson and the producer is Kelly Duffell.
It is starring Paapa Essiedu and Siobhán Cullen as well as Charlotte Riley and Jack Bannon.
Filming took place in Abbots Langley in Hertfordshire, near Watford, in February 2025.
