dayaway is the indie pop project of Amber Renee and Graham Marsh. Originally started in 2022 and inspired by Rockaway Beach in NYC, dayaway combines surf rock with psychedelia and dream pop. History. 2022: dayaway EP. dayaway's debut single "cool water" released on March 7th, 2022. It was featured in Spotify's New Music Friday, Fresh Finds, Golden Hour, Night Pop, and Good Vibes playlists. It was also included in ABC's A Million Little Things in Season 4, episode 11. The band's self-titled second single "dayaway" released April 27th, 2022. "dayaway" was featured in Netflix's Hello Goodbye and Everything in Between as well as Walmart's 2024 Back to College Ad Campaign. The EP was released on August 3rd, 2022. 2023: blue summer moon EP. Lead single "hot blue summer" was released on March 7th, 2023. dayaway released one song per month ahead of the EP's release on August 30th, the day of a rare blue super moon. Flood magazine called "blue summer moon" "the perfect music for the golden hour moment". 2024: ghost beach EP. dayaway released the first single and title track "ghost beach" on May 1st, 2024 with the official music video that featured a shipwrecked sailboat. The full EP was released on August 14th, 2024. On October 17, 2024 dayaway released a collaborative track "Lost on You" with draigh, Marsh's solo project and Turn To Wind Recordings label mate.
