Khairul Basar is a Bangladeshi actor and singer. He works primarily in Dhallywood cinema and television dramas. He won the Meril-Prothom Alo Awards for Best Actor for his performances in the television drama "Rod Brishtir Golpo" (2024).
Early life.
Bashar was born on 1 December, in Mymensingh District, Bangladesh. He completed an honors degree in music from Dhaka University.
Career.
Bashar learned mime from Mir Lokman and joined 'Dhaka University Mime Action'. He performed in nearly 400 mime shows between 2011 and 2017. After mime, he broke into films with the short film "Punorabritti" (2017).
He made his silver screen debut with Bangladesh's first anthology film, "Iti, Tomari Dhaka", in 2019.
He was also seen in the film "Campus Climax" (2020), which was directed by Dhaka University student Jeet Dey. It is based on the story of Dhaka University. In 2020, he performed the central role in the television drama "Tomar Pashe Hatte Diyo" organized by Close-up around Valentine's Day. He also appeared in the feature film "Unoponchash Batash", released in 2020.
He appeared in the telefilms "Chumki Cholechhe" and "Charer Master" (2021). Also, he appeared in the Chorki's webfilm "Networker Baire" (2021), directed by Mizanur Rahman Aryan. He then starred in the "Mohanagar" (2021) web series. In 2025, he won the Television Reporters Unity of Bangladesh 'TRUB' Awards for Best TV Actor for his performance in television drama "Afsos" in 2024.
