Jules W. Hurst III is an American politician who is currently serving as the acting Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness at the U.S. Department of Defense. 
Early life.
Hurst is from Virginia. He is a graduate of the College of William and Mary as well as George Washington University.
Career.
Hurst worked as a defense fellow and policy advisor for Speaker of the House Mike Johnson.
